Cupping

A common tool used in Naturopathic Medicine is Cupping! Heard of it, but not sure exactly what it does? Here’s how it works:

Cupping is used in Traditional Chinese medicine as a tool to move stagnation throughout the body. Some pain that you are experiencing might be caused by stagnant blood and lymph. By providing suction with the use of cups, we are able to move these fluids and improve the flow of energy (Qi) throughout the body. The action of the suction also helps bring old blood to the surface and provide new, fresh blood to re-oxygenate your muscles – a form of detoxification. After a cupping session, the body will often form bruises, but these are not painful and are just a side effect of the detoxification of your blood!

This tool is used to relieve muscle tension, headaches, migraines, fatigue, common colds, stress and more. By detoxing the body and releasing tension, Cupping has amazing outcomes.
